What makes a professional email signature?
A practical checklist for a signature that stays readable everywhere.
A professional email signature should help someone identify you and contact you without distracting from the message. In most cases, a name, role, company, email address, and one optional link are enough.
Put the essential information first. Use a readable font, plain colors, and short lines so the signature holds together on mobile screens. A logo can be useful, but it should never be the only way to identify the sender.
Before making the signature your default, send a test email to Gmail, Outlook, and a phone if possible. Check that links work, the layout does not become too wide, and the signature remains secondary to the email itself.
